Research Focus Questions 1. What is the daily UV high reading at solar noon? 2. What is the impact of UV light on living things? These research focus question are intended to give directions to your study of ultraviolet light and it's effect on living things. At this point we are trying to develop a deep understanding of UV. It's physics, where it comes from, it's impact on living things, how it is filtered by total column ozone and why it is discussed as an environmental problem. Working to answer these focus questions, combined with the background information provided, and information that you develop on your own, should help us have a rich understanding of ultraviolet light. It is from this understanding that additional question will emerge and drive the research. With these focus questions guiding your work, proceed to the background information on ultraviolet light and it's effect on living things. |
